From 20 to 22 March 2026, the Grand Palais in Paris hosted the sixteenth edition of the Saut Hermès, gathering the world’s finest riders and horses beneath its iconic glass roof for three days of elite 5* showjumping. Seventy riders and nearly 130 horses competed, including rising stars in the Talents Hermès classes for riders under 25, celebrating the future of the sport alongside its established champions.

The weekend was packed with thrilling performances and historic moments. Day 1 saw Willem Greve win the Prix du Grand Palais, Belgium’s Mathieu Guéry take the first Talents Hermès victory, and François-Xavier Boudant clinch the Prix Hermès Sellier by just two hundredths of a second. On Day 2, Pieter Devos triumphed in the Saut Hermès, while Mathieu Billot and Irish rider James Connors Smyth impressed in their respective classes.

The grand finale on Day 3 crowned world No.1 Scott Brash and Hello Chadora Lady as winners of the Grand Prix Hermès, delivering a flawless performance that gave Great Britain its first victory under the Grand Palais roof. Dutch rider Willem Greve opened the weekend with victory in the Prix du Grand Palais, navigating the tricky 1.45m course with his mare Candy Luck Z. In the Talents Hermès for U25 riders, Belgium’s Mathieu Guéry impressed aboard Time-Breaker S Z, taking top honors in a smooth, faultless performance.
The highlight of the day came in the Prix Hermès Sellier, where Frenchman François-Xavier Boudant and his 15-year-old Brazyl du Mezel edged out Julien Épaillard by just two hundredths of a second, sending the Marseillaise ringing through the Grand Palais and setting the stage for Sunday’s Grand Prix Hermès.

The two-round class for the top ten men and women from Friday’s Prix Hermès Sellier tested precision and speed, and Devos’ double-clear performance set him apart, earning the Belgian national anthem in the historic venue.

Earlier, French rider Mathieu Billot impressed with a lightning-fast win in the Prix GL Events on Cosacara Z, while Irishman James Connors Smyth took top honors in the second Talents Hermès for U25 riders, riding Dia Chapila PS.

The day began with history as Latvia’s Kristaps Neretnieks claimed his country’s first-ever win at the Saut Hermès in the Prix de la Ville de Paris, riding Quintair. In the Talents Hermès team class for U25 riders, Great Britain continued its dominance thanks to Claudia Moore and Olivia Sponer, who guided their team to victory.

Swiss rider Martin Fuchs took second in the Grand Prix, with Dutchman Harrie Smolders in third, while French partner rider Jeanne Sadran finished as top French competitor in eighth.
