Clay offers a refined greige tone that recalls raw, malleable earth, while Terracotta introduces a subdued, kiln-fired red reminiscent of ceramics. Together, the pair reflects a narrative of transformation – Clay symbolising the soft beginning of creation, and Terracotta representing the strength and permanence that follows.
To mark the launch, Rimowa released a cinematic visual journey set across cracked desert dunes, lush peaks, and clay-rich mountain formations. Against these landscapes, the suitcases appear not merely as travel essentials but as elevated design objects.
As with all Rimowa Essential models, the new Clay and Terracotta editions are crafted from ultra-durable polycarbonate and supported by the Maison’s lifetime guarantee. A monochromatic finish extends from the shell to the zippers, handles, wheel housing, and logo badge, underscoring the minimalist design language. Signature features include the Multiwheel System, a stage-free telescopic handle, TSA-approved locks, and a thoughtfully designed interior with a zipped compartment and adjustable Flex Divider.
