Bvlgari returns to Dubai Watch Week with a landmark collaboration that celebrates the region.
Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the 7th edition of the fair saw the debut of the Mattar Bin Lahej x Octo Finissimo, a limited-edition timepiece that unites the brand’s famed craftsmanship with the modern Emirati artistry.
Since its introduction in 2014, the Octo Finissimo has been known as a “blank canvas” for creative expression. It has also achieved an extraordinary ten world records for its unique thinness.
For 2025, Bvlgari has explored this philosophy to a deep level by partnering with acclaimed Emirati artist Mattar Bin Lahej, whose signature calligraphic style is laser-engraved across the watch’s ultra-thin titanium surfaces. Inspired by the words of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, “The future will be for those who can imagine, design, and implement it”, the piece captures the spirit of the country.
This artistic synergy was shaped through an intimate creative exchange between Bvlgari’s Executive Director of Product Creation, Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, and artist Mattar Bin Lahej. Their collaboration bridges Italian design and Arabic calligraphy, resulting in a timepiece that feels totally fresh and ahead of the curve.
At Dubai Watch Week, Bvlgari’s immersive booth further brings this partnership to life, featuring a dedicated showcase enriched with Bin Lahej’s calligraphy, live watchmaking demonstrations, and interactive displays.
