His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Sultan of Oman, bestowed the Grand Order of Honour upon Her Highness Sayyida Al Jalila Ahad bint Abdullah Al Busaidiyah in recognition of her distinguished service during a ceremony at Al Baraka Palace in Muscat on Sunday.

Her Highness Sayyida Al Jalila Ahad received the order in recognition of her dedicated service to the advancement of Omani society. She has shown outstanding commitment to the people of Oman ever since her husband ascended the throne. In 2021, she founded the Ahad Foundation, which supports Omani women, people with disabilities, and those with limited incomes. Her unwavering efforts to advance the Sultanate, empower women, and aid those in need are widely recognised.

The Grand Order of Honour is the Sultanate’s highest civil order, established by the late Sultan Qaboos. Its insignia was created in the 1980s by the British luxury brand Asprey and comprises a collar, sash, breast star, and miniature.
