Princess Rajwa Al Hussein celebrates her 31st birthday by championing regional designers

As Her Royal Highness Princess Rajwa Al Hussein of Jordan celebrated her 31st birthday on April 28th, the Saudi architect turned the spotlight on regional designers, bringing their creations to the global stage with her newly released portraits.

Known for her fresh, simple and trendsetting style, Her Royal Highness Princess Rajwa is crafting a distinctive fashion identity that sets her apart, while drawing inspiration and guidance from her iconic mother-in-law, Queen Rania.

Building on this legacy, Princess Rajwa is forging her own path, championing regional talent and celebrating Arab creativity. The Princess is providing a global platform for Arab designers to attain the international recognition they so richly deserve.

For her birthday photoshoot, Her Royal Highness chose to adorn herself with jewellery from three regional Labels, each beautifully inspired by the rich heritage of the Middle East.

Crown Prince Hussein marked his wife’s special day with a heartfelt tribute on Instagram. Accompanying a tender photograph of the couple holding hands at Beit Al Urdun Palace, the Prince wrote: “Grateful for the love, kindness, and warmth you bring into Iman’s life and mine.”

Princess Rajwa exuded elegance as she stunned in a sophisticated dark olive-green ensemble by Khaite. For the occasion, the Princess chose statement earrings from the Bahraini label MATTAR, inspired by the delicate artistry of lampshades and handcrafted with rare, multicoloured Bahraini pearls.

We reached out to the brand to uncover how the Princess discovered their designs. They revealed that the Princess was gifted the earrings by someone close to her, and that these earrings are not the only pieces she owns from the brand.

Princess Rajwa looked stunning in a Symone long-sleeve cowl-neck top paired with the Kyra wide-leg trousers, both in deep purple by SIMKHAI. She completed the look with a statement gold necklace featuring her and her husband’s initials in Arabic by the Jordanian label Joy Jewels, and the elegant Harmony earrings by Jordanian brand Insignia Jewellery.

This is not the first time Princess Rajwa has chosen to wear Insignia Jewellery; the Princess has previously shone in their designs. “Actually, we first received a call three years ago, and the relationship began from there,” they shared. “Her Royal Highness is a very humble person,” they added.
